Confession
Science Fair

Something else that you may not know about me is that I love it when the kids have school activities. Not the kind when there is just something to do at school like a dance or movie night, but the kind where the kids get a chance to show something they are proud of (unless it's singing, that's a post for a different day). We have had two such events at the middle school recently and I have to confess I just love it!

Grandmas
This is the tale of two Grandmas. When the kids were smaller and we would say anything about Grandma they would always come back with "which Grandma". We would say "oh, it's Grandma Egli or Grandma Landoni" which was always met with "which one is that?" Then leave it to Katie to find the defining factor between the two noticing that Grandma Landoni had cookies on top of the microwave and Grandma Egli didn't. So then they would say is it "Grandma with the cookies?" Not loving the title of "Grandma without cookies", Grandma Egli started making sure that her cookie jar was full when we visited, which just started the Grandma confusion all over again. Finally we resorted to "Grandma on the Farm" for Grandma Egli and just "Grandma" for Grandma Landoni. So these are pictures from our visit to see Grandma on the Farm.
Katie is ALL ABOUT the animals and won't let Grandpa out of her sight when there are chores to be done. She doesn't care that it's only 32 degrees and it's early morning, she is going!

Notes & Tears
I am generally a sentimental person, every milestone that my kids reach makes me both super happy and sad at the same time. It's a sickness, I just can't help. We reached another one of those milestones this past week, our first middle school performance. It happened to be band, which means that there was lots of music and singing, which just makes me more sentimental. I sat in the dusty bleachers, so happy and yet biting the inside of my lip to keep from crying.

Got to see it!
David had to do a group project at school where they create a movie based on a Supreme Court Case. They just finished up and although I can't tell you about the movie (as it has yet to be premiered) the trailer is on David's blog and you have got to see it!

Be Efficient
This year, I would like to make time for some of the things I didn't get to do in 2008, like scrapbooking and spending more time with friends and family. In order to accomplish this, I am going to have to be more efficient with the tasks that I have, so that I will have more time. While thinking of ways to be more efficient, I remembered this great video that a friend sent me a long time ago. I think I will use this as my new efficiency training film. See what you think...
