Celebrity Sighting!
Ok, so I NEVER see celebrities. I hear stories of running into famous people at airports or restaurants or at Nike, but it hasn't happened to me...until now! Friday we spotted Jerry Seinfeld and Larry Miller eating at P.F. Chang's right outside of Pete's building in the Pearl and I have photographic evidence!

Katie's Soccer Season?
Another soccer season is wrapping up, it's Katie's 7th. Hard to believe that my second grader has played for 7 seasons! Crazy. But as much as this is her 7th season, it's my 7th season too. She chose the sport, but I have come to love it. While Katie loves playing, I love sitting in the park on a beautiful sunny Saturday, with the other soccer parents and watching the girls have a great time. Many of these girls, and our amazing Coach Doug, have been together for 6 seasons now. That's 6 seasons of sitting on the sidelines with my fellow soccer parents and cheering, chatting and laughing together. I find that when the sun is shining, I look forward to Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings when I can sit with those friends and watch the game unfold. It's funny how much the kids sports and sport teams become a part of our adult lives. I'm not sure how Katie feels about this season coming to an end, but I know that I will be counting the days until the next one begins.

Special Bulletin
This is a special bulletin for those of you who followed along with The Money Pit.... I BOUGHT A LIGHT FIXTURE FOR THE BATHROOM!!!!
Finally.
And I have decided not to post a picture of it. After not having one for a year, I have accepted the idea that it really doesn't matter. Only a handful of people even noticed that there wasn't one there. We even had an appraisal last month and the appraiser didn't notice that I didn't have a light fixture. So, I truly believe that once this one gets installed, no one will give it a second look.

No Camera Needed
This past weekend I went to Las Vegas with my good friend Des and I left my camera home. I left it home deliberately. Sometimes when I have my camera with me, I feel like I am obligated to take lots of pictures and then I feel like I wasn't even a part of the event, I was more like the photographer of the event. This weekend I just wanted to relax and have fun.
But then, when I get home, how do I blog? Apparently very easily. You can now find a picture (probably better than one you can take) of anything on the internet thanks to online photo sites. So here is my trip to Las Vegas, photos compliments of ...?
On Friday we flew here...

and we checked in here...

10 Grands, I Say Priceless
Today the kids had the day off of school and Katie's piano teacher had arranged a field trip to a concert called 10 Grands. The concert consisted of four adults and six kids (the youngest was eleven I think) on ten grand pianos, all playing on one concert stage. It was AMAZING! If you could bottle the talent in that room, we could all fly to the moon.

The concert was put together ten years ago as a benefit to help fund music in the schools. If you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it. If you'd like to contribute you can find out more at...
