It is always appalling to me how early the stores begin to push the gift buying on us for Christmas each year. It is especially frustrating the way in which they sell the idea of Christmas to our kids. I don't know exactly how to fix the situation our society is in, but this might be a good start.

crazy to be touched, inspired, and guilt ridden all at once. this year i'm trying to stick to the 'want, need, wear, read' version of gifts. some categories have a few more than others but it's definitely helping me to stay more focused. but i certainly need to buy less and give more.
